Phosphorescent ink stores light and releases it. Hold the suit under a bright lamp for a few minutes and it glows clearly in a dark room, then dims steadily over the next ten to twenty. It is a party trick, and a good one.
A four leg suit keeps shed hair against the fabric rather than on the sofa, which is useful all autumn and not only on one night. It is thin enough not to overheat a dog indoors.
The supplier states the fabric does not stretch, so the measurements are the measurements. That is more useful than a stretchy garment with vague sizing, because there is nothing to guess at.

The print contains a pigment that absorbs light and releases it slowly. Hold the suit under a ceiling lamp or a torch for a few minutes and it will glow a clear green in a dark room, brightest in the first minute and steadily dimmer after that. Twenty minutes later there is a faint outline. An hour later there is nothing until you charge it again.
That is a genuinely good party trick and it is the reason to buy this rather than any other four leg suit. Charge it under the hall light just before the visitors arrive and the effect lands exactly when you want it.
Most pet knitwear forgives a bad measurement because the fabric stretches. This one does not, and the supplier says so plainly on its own sizing image: the fabric is not stretchable, measure carefully before ordering. That single sentence is more useful than anything else in the listing.
Treat the numbers as hard limits rather than targets. If your dog measures 35cm along the back and 43cm round the chest, the large gives you 35 and 42, and the chest is already a centimetre short with no elastic to absorb it. Move up. There is nothing to lose by a suit being slightly roomy on a design that covers all four legs.
A full suit is the most restrictive shape in this range and the one that takes longest to put on. In exchange it does something none of the others do: it holds shed hair against the fabric. Through an autumn moult that is the difference between hoovering the sofa every day and doing it once a week, which makes the suit useful well past the end of October.
Take it off for toileting, and check under the front legs after the first hour. That fold is where a fabric with no stretch rubs first, and it is the spot a dog will start chewing at later in the evening if something is wrong.

Exact rather than indicative, because the fabric has no stretch. The supplier's chart also prints an XS column with no figures in it; that size is not made and is not sold here. Above XL there is nothing, and the supplier states outright that the range does not fit large breeds.
Cool hand wash and dry away from direct heat. Phosphorescent pigment sits in a surface layer, so a hot wash or a radiator will dull the glow long before the fabric wears out. Turn it inside out if you must machine wash it.

Because the fabric has no give I measured his back and chest properly instead of guessing, and the medium matched the chart exactly. No bagging round the middle and no strain at the shoulders. Hand washed cool once and the phosphorescent print still charges the same.
You hold it under the lamp for a few minutes, turn the lights off, and the ribs and spine really do glow. It faded over about fifteen minutes and then we charged it again. Everyone at the door wanted to see it done twice.
Daylight through a window did almost nothing for the glow. Held about twenty centimetres under a desk lamp for five minutes it works properly, which nobody tells you beforehand. Good suit otherwise, and the ribbed cuffs stop it riding up his legs.
I bought it for the skeleton print and then kept it on for the moult. A four leg suit means the hair he drops ends up on the fabric instead of the sofa, and it is thin enough that he does not pant in it indoors. The glow is a bonus rather than the reason it lives by the door now.
Our dog measures 35cm round the chest and the small is listed at 34cm, so it is tight across the front and I should have gone up a size. There is no stretch at all, exactly as stated, so take the chart literally. The glow works well and he is happy in it once it is on.
A lot of these only have a print on one side and you lose it the moment the dog turns round. This one has the skeleton on the front and the back, so it works from any angle in photographs. He wore it for an hour with no scratching at the cuffs.
It charges quickly under a bright bulb and looks excellent for the first five minutes. By the time we had walked to the end of the road it was barely visible, so it really is an indoor trick. The suit itself fits well and the print is sharp.
We charged it under the kitchen light, turned everything off, and got a picture of a floating skeleton in the hallway. The print lines up along the spine so it actually looks like a ribcage rather than random bones. Thoroughly pleased with it.
The back length was spot on at 34cm because the fabric does not stretch and the chart is honest about that. The ribbed cuffs on the hind legs are snug though, and I had to work them over his paws slowly. Once on, he moved perfectly normally.

No, and this matters. The supplier's own panel uses the word reflective, but the product is phosphorescent. Reflective material throws a car's headlights back at the driver; a glow print does not, and it fades within about twenty minutes. Use a proper reflective vest for dark walks.
No. The supplier states it suits small dogs, cats and medium breed puppies, and the largest size stops at a 40cm back and a 46cm chest. Anything bigger is outside the range.
Any bright light will do it. A few minutes under a ceiling lamp or a torch is enough; daylight works faster. It does not need a special ultraviolet lamp.
