Almost everything sold for Halloween comes off after the photograph. This does not. It is an ordinary working collar that happens to be covered in bats, which means you can put it on in mid October and forget about it.

Everything else in this range comes off after the photograph. This is the one piece that does the job the dog's ordinary collar does. It carries a lead and an ID tag, so it can go on in mid October and stay on until you get bored of it.
A split ring can be worked open by a hard pull against a lead. The ring here is a closed welded loop sitting in its own keeper on the webbing, which is the arrangement you want on anything that takes a lead at all.
The Halloween artwork is printed into the webbing rather than applied as a patch or a charm. There is nothing glued on to pick at, which is what usually ends a novelty collar's life in the first week.

The other neck pieces here are decoration. The charm necklace cannot carry a lead or an identity tag and says so plainly on its own page; the bandana and the necktie are fabric that sits on top of whatever the dog already wears. This is the opposite arrangement. It is 2.5cm nylon webbing with a moulded side release buckle and a closed D ring welded into its own keeper, which is the same specification as a plain collar from any pet shop.
That matters more than it sounds. A seasonal item that replaces something the dog needs anyway costs you nothing in convenience, so it stays on. A seasonal item that duplicates something gets worn for an hour and put in a drawer. If you only buy one thing from this category, the argument for buying this one is that it keeps working after the thirty first.
Put a tape around the base of the neck where a collar naturally sits, not up under the jaw, and add enough that two fingers slide flat underneath. Then pick the length above that number: the slider gives you room downward, so a 47cm neck wants the 50cm rather than the 40cm. The four lengths run 40, 50, 60 and 70 centimetres, which covers a spaniel through to a rottweiler and deliberately stops short of a whippet puppy at either end.
Check the fit again a week later. Nylon webbing beds in slightly under load, and a collar set perfectly on a Saturday is often a notch loose by the following weekend. That is normal and it is why the slider exists.
Three of the seven are orange, which is honest rather than lazy. The supplier genuinely prints four orange grounds and they are different artwork. The green ones carry more weight at a distance because green is the unexpected colour on a dog in October; the black one with the lettering is the subtlest and the only one that could pass as an ordinary collar to someone not looking closely.
In every case the artwork is printed into the weave rather than applied as a patch, a charm or a stuck on shape. Nothing protrudes, so there is nothing for the dog to work at with a back paw, which is the usual failure mode for novelty collars. Hand wash it cool. The thing that actually destroys webbing is a tumble dryer, which shrinks the weave unevenly around the stitched bar tacks and leaves the buckle sitting crooked.

Bought the green bats in the 50cm for our spaniel in October and it is still on him now, because it does everything his ordinary collar did. The D ring takes his lead and his tag without complaint and the slider has held its setting. I stopped thinking of it as a novelty collar about a fortnight in.
The orange ghosts design is printed into the webbing rather than stuck on, which was the reason I chose it, and there is nothing for him to chew off. The nylon was quite stiff for the first week and left a crease in his fur where it sat. It has softened up since and he does not notice it now.

Most novelty collars stop at something that would fit a spaniel, so finding one that runs to 70cm was the whole reason I ordered. Ours is at about 64cm and the slider takes up the rest neatly. The black lettering print is the least silly of the seven, which suits a dog that size.
Ended up with the orange cats and the green spiders because I could not choose between them, and they get swapped every few days through October. Both have been hand washed cool and air dried without the colours going anywhere. The buckle clicks properly and has never come open on its own.
It is a decent enough collar and the print has not faded at all. I had assumed from the look of it that the buckle might be a breakaway, and the description does say plainly that it is not, so that one is on me. For a dog on a lead and in the garden that is what you want anyway. Just be clear on it before ordering.
Every seasonal collar we have had before came with a plastic pumpkin or a charm riveted on and it lasted a week. There is nothing on this one but the print, so there is nothing for him to work at with his back paw. Three months of daily wear and it looks the same as it did on day one.
The print is a much stronger orange in daylight than it appeared on screen, closer to a traffic cone than the softer shade in the picture. That does make it easy to spot him in the field so it has worked out, but it is not subtle. The buckle and slider are solid and the 40cm is right for our smaller dog.
Our puppy is growing fast and the 40cm with the slider has taken him from about 28cm to 34cm so far with plenty left in it. The webbing does not seem to bother him and he has already swum in it twice and it dried out fine on the line. We will move up a length when he outgrows this one.

No, and we would rather say so than sell you one. It has a standard side release buckle with no breakaway, and the shortest length is 40cm, which is a dog's neck rather than a cat's. A cat collar needs a buckle that pops open under load; this is not one.
